Because of several different problems, not the least of which is my laptop crashing, I will not manage to prepare the texts for tomorrow for the Smartboard.

Please bring your texts and we'll do it one more time "the old-fashioned way".

I apologize in advance.
Peace,

Fourth Year Projects

Dear Fourth Year,

Just a point of clarification about timings:

Your presentation should be no shorter than five minutes, no longer than ten. You should have a visual aid of some kind for all of us.

People working in groups should keep in mind that EVERYONE has to present your findings. In that case each person should speak for no less than four minutes and no less than 6. Thus a group of two will be presenting for 8 to twelve minutes, a group of three for twelve to eighteen minutes, and so on.

Here are some guidelines to help you:

Presentations - 2015

The TIMINGS presented in the PPT are different than those I just wrote for you, the other things may be useful for you in offering a good presentation.

Enjoy your May holiday!

Presentations PPT

Dear Third Year,

One point of clarification: your translation project and your presentation topic are (probably) not related in any way. They are two separate assignments.

Have a nice holiday!

Accepted project topics so far

Dear Fourth Year,

Here is a list of project topics that I have accepted so far:

Project Topics 2015

If your topic does not appear here, it means I did not feel it was well formulated enough for you to start, i.e. it was too vague or all encompassing and you would spend days working on it.
So, if your project isn't here, feel free to reformulate and re-submit your ideas.
Looking at the list so far, I think this will be really interesting!

See you all tomorrow!

Make-up Test and other issues

Dear Third and Fourth Year,

If you would like to take the make-up test on Thursday (third year) or Friday (fourth year), you need to send an e-mail to register for it at:

stjeromens@gmail.com

In the subject line write either make-up test, third year or make-up test, fourth year. Body of the text:
I would like to take the make-up test. Sincerely, Joe Smith.

The make-up test will occur in room 42/I (I believe it is now 127, according to the Gregorian calendar) at 11 a.m. on Thursday for the third year.

The fourth year will meet for a non-mandatory class at 10 a.m. on Friday, all in one group. We will be looking at the translation of Crnjanski's Migrations. Then the make-up test will take place at about 11:15.  Room 28/I (I believe it is now 110 according to Hotel Management.)

In other news for the fourth year: I had a computer crash and a (minor) family crisis so your projects still have not been sent. They will arrive today or tomorrow along with the instructions. Please do not panic, the deadline will be extended.

I wish you all a very happy Serbian New Year!
