Third and Fourth Year - About Classes Feb. 22-23

Dear Third and Fourth Year,

After discussing things with your other teachers, I decided to make things more efficient for all of us. Rather than having you come for an "introductory class", where we spend half an hour talking about what we're about to do instead of doing something, I would rather you did a little translating and/or reading (thereby saving hours of human travel time). So instead of class on February 22 (Third Year) and February 23 (Fourth Year), I'm sending you the links with the homework you need to have ready for March 1 and 2, respectively.

Third Year:
I'm attaching a text which is different from anything we've done so far. Please translate it and be ready to discuss it next week. In addition, for the "lecture" part of your course, I'm attaching another (short!) text about becoming a translator. Please be ready to discuss that in the 12-12:45 time slot.

Homework for Mar. 1, 2018

Reading for Mar. 1, 2018

Fourth Year:
Here is a link to our first "Scientific Texts" translation. Please have it ready (=translated) for next week. I'll have have some other interesting stuff for us to talk and think about during that class.

Homework for Mar. 2, 2018

In both cases, I will hand out the course syllabuses (=syllabi!) at the beginning of our first class.

Anyone who hasn't had their booklet (=Indeks) signed by me can do so at the end of classes next week.

If you have any questions (about FF related stuff) please feel free to contact me @:

Here are the links to the grade sheets after the February exams.

Third Year - Group 1

Fourth Year

Third Year, concerning your questions about your final grades: As you know, your classes with me are just part of your Language Skills classes. Therefore your final grade will be an average of what you did with Elizabeth and with me. We will be taking the new marking system into account.

I'm still grading the Fourth Year Projects. They should be finished by the end of this week.
